Legg elected planning chairman for 13th Iowa Spring Market Hog Show
Joe E. Legg, Jones county extension director, is chosen chairman of the planning committee for the 13th annual Iowa State Spring Market Hog Show at Hawkeye Downs Cedar Rapids February 28 and March 1. A new class will feature hogs sired by a Spotted Poland China boar along with junior judging and baking contests. Open to Iowa exhibitors, last year the event drew about 800 hogs. Premium lists go to previous exhibitors around January 13.
