Dinners Held for Methodist Women Circles
Three circles of the Women's Society of Christian Service at the Methodist church held pot luck dinners and a luncheon on Wednesday afternoon. Circle one, hosted by Mrs. Roy Miller, gathered 14 members and two children with devotions and a Christmas program. Circle two, hosted by Mrs. Louis Morf, held a 1:30 p.m. luncheon and heard a program on Hope of Christmas, with a Hungarian relief collection replacing the gift exchange. The Delaware county extension township meeting was held in Sand Springs at the Immaculate Conception parish hall with Thomas A. Joseph as master of ceremonies. South Fork 4-H clubs performed, new members were welcomed, a speech on county growth was given, and a Hopkinton sponsored club was introduced. A lunch closed the event and plans were made for next year’s gathering.
