Fort Madison reports farmer Fred Weber was struck and killed by a northbound train while walking along the railroad right of way. Weber, who was deaf, did not hear the approaching train and was fatally injured.
Miss Ena Moorhe aged 21 died at Method hospital Des Moines from poison after pricking finger with a pin. Her death was attributed to tetanic infection and poison entering the bloodstream.
