Cascade Man George W Klinkner Dies After Stroke
Prominent Cascade retiree and lifelong farmer George W Klinkner died at his West Cascade home from a paralytic stroke. Born February 22, 1868 in Dubuque County, he left a widow Mary Hirtz and children across Cascade Temple Hill Clinton and elsewhere. Funeral mass at St Marys Church and burial at St Peters Cemetery, with numerous local pallbearers.

Julius G. Michaels 66 died at his Onslow home Friday evening December 8 after a heart attack. He was born May 9, 1878 in Holstein Germany and came to the U.S. as an infant. He lived in Center Junction Clinton and Onslow, married Amelia Hanna in 1899, worked on farms and owned his Onslow home since 1914. Surviving are his wife five brothers and three sisters.
