New rotor ship idea wowed by Fettner experiments
A German inventor Fettner claims a wind powered rotor can move a 2000 ton freighter with two nine foot cylinders rising from the keel. A small electric motor starts them, they spin at 120 rpm and power the vessel. Berlin mirrors plan to use similar cylinders for electricity and war effort. The concept hinges on revolving cylinders in air currents creating lateral pressure. Observers note the invention works, despite skepticism.
