Center Junction prepares for a Community Day under the M. E. Ladies Aid with speaker Cyrenus Cole, band music, a baseball game, dinners, and a movie The Old Homestead. A group of eight robbers entered the Kennedy residence on the west side of Onslow, stealing a purse, changes, wedding suit, and shoes. Neighbors saw activity in the afternoon. entry was through an open den window. Local youths and residents noted sounds and the housekeeper reported the break-in after returning home.
