Cascade Murder Confession Ties Leib to Kirkpatrick Killing
John Kirkpatrick's body was found in the Cascade woods ten days ago. Leib confessed to killing Kirkpatrick in self defense during a night of drinking and a struggle over a shotgun. He led officers from Cascade to Dubuque and Oneida before his arrest, detailing a plan to hide the body and his flight from the scene.
