Missionary society thank offering and Clark Heights sale noted
The foreign missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church held its annual thank offering meeting to support a Bible woman in China. An accompanying letter from a China missionary was read, and Miss Gladys Welch read from Bonnie Brier Bush while young church groups sang. Light refreshments closed the program. The Clark Heights addition sale of 25 lots yielded all but three or four, prices $400 to $1,000, buyers including Oscar Newton and Harold Deischer. Louis Hepp won $100 gold. Separate notes report tussock moth damage in several cities and advise treatments like creosote and deterrents. Local ads list property for sale, services, and needed items.
