John Neihaus sold his 120 acre Lincoln township farm to a Reinbeck, Iowa, buyer named Johnson for 24000 dollars, about 200 dollars an acre. Neihaus had purchased it eight to ten months earlier for 165 dollars per acre. He then bought his father’s 33 acre farm, one mile west of town, for 13000 dollars, about 875 dollars per acre.

Tama County Corn Crop Near Three Million Dollars

Tracr notes Tama county planted 121,249 acres in corn last year producing 4,904,692 bushels at an average of 44 bushels per acre.
