Two Are Fined in District Court
In Jones county district court three cases were heard this past week with no new suits filed. Joseph J. Axline of Anamosa pled guilty to OMVI third offense and received a one year sentence at Fr. Madison with two years parole. Robert Knapp of Cascade was fined 300 dollars plus costs for purchasing beer as a minor, half suspended for good behavior. A contempt hearing in Joyce Schneider vs Loren Schneider was continued 30 days. A motion for a new trial was granted in Rapid Industries Inc. vs Onias E. Shifflett and Betty L. Shifflett, with judgement sought by the plaintiff of 95 dollars plus 5 percent interest from Oct 15, 1958 and costs from the defendants.
