Cass Township Neighbors Aid Newhard Family After Death
Cass township residents joined to assist the Truman Newhard family with spring work after Mr. Newhard’s death. forty five acres of oats were seeded forty acres plowed and eighty eight acres of stalks disked using six plows two harrows five discs and two end gate seeders. a long list of local men assisted and meals were provided at the Albert Oltmanns home. additional social visits and dinners followed including a Sunday dinner at the Bill Lubben home in honor of Richard’s confirmation.
