Jones County Board Sets June 7 1910 Election on County Home Bond
At an April 1910 meeting the Jones county Board of Supervisors ordered an election on June 7 1910 across all precincts to authorize a $30 000 County Home and Home for the Incurably Insane on the County Farm. The plan included borrowing $30 000 and levying up to one mill yearly for five years to fund bonds, with voters answering Yes or No by marking boxes. Polls will run 9 a m to 8 p m and notice will be published for four consecutive weeks starting April 14 1910.
