The annual report of Fire Chief C. J. Matthiessen was read and approved. The council voted Ayes Hoag Matthiessen Hayes Bancroft Cass Nays none. The mayor was instructed to buy from General Fire Hose Co. of St. Louis 300 ft 1.5 inch single jacket hose at 75c per ft two nozzles and one Siamese gate valve 214 to 1.5 inches. The motion carried.
