Iowa Falls man tests gas powered model airplane
Chester Peterson. 22, of Iowa Falls, Hardin county, finishes a four foot long model plane with a one fifth horsepower gasoline motor. If flights prove successful it would be Iowa’s first gas driven model to fly. The craft weighs few pounds and should reach about 30 mph with takeoff and landing gear designed to absorb shock. Peterson has 12 years experience and built the plane during recovery from an operation. In Breda a $4000 currency shipment to a local bank was mishandled when F Van Erdewyk found the money in a post office bag and put it in a waste basket for safekeeping before it was recovered and sent to Washington for replacement.
