Soil Building Aid Offers Phosphate and Limestone to Jones County Farmers
Jones county farmers in the AAA program can earn soil building payments by applying triple super phosphate and ground limestone. Materials are deducted from AAA benefits with no upfront cost. 100 pounds of phosphate per acre may earn $1.50 toward the soil building goal. Four carloads have been received for distribution and contracts cover all townships. Farmers should apply limestone six months to a year before seeding and contact the county office or township committee for applications.
