Carnival a Success Improves Funds for Church Piano
The S S Carnival held by Methodists last Saturday drew strong attendance. Net proceeds exceed sixty dollars from a roughly ninety dollar gross after under thirty dollars in expenses. Winners include Darrell Glaze in sack race and Harold Glaze in second. Miss Iva Mathas wins auto contest after a tiebreaker with Miss Mildred Aikman. The Stringling Sisters Circus directed by Mrs. Kelso featured several performers and Jim Kelso aided as clown. Colt Burks of Rockville donated auctioneering for the piano sale. Gratitude extended to cake and pie donors and donors of services who supported the event.
