On a westbound train Ben Lawson was kicked from a coach doorway and struck on the leg by a brakeman. He limped thereafter as a physician treated a small skin wound about the size of a dime.
J Frank Wilkins approaches Ben Lawson after a kick on the shin on a railroad trip. He offers a contingent fee arrangement via Fielding Boling to sue the company, detailing witness contact and a plan to share recovered funds with Lawson. The lawyer transfers rights to Boling and departs, as a company adjuster probes a settlement.

The claim agent returned with Fielding Boling as attorney for Ben Lawson and handed him a paper about a yard long. Boling held a check for 8000 dollars in full for Kick on the Shin. Boling forwarded 1500 dollars to Ben Lawson while another 1500 remains in question as J Frank questions if he too has been paid.
Margaret J. Brown, age 1 year 3 months 17 days, fell ill at the Hillsdale home of Pranky and Elizabeth Brown. Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday afternoon with burial at Oakland Cemetery.
On November 15 1919 four town youths abducted two local girls Rosa Williams 16 and Gladys Flowers 14 in a Houchin car. They reportedly registered in Hume Illinois and stayed overnight. The boys returned home Sunday while the girls were later located, and the youths were arrested in Roexville facing serious charges.
Early Monday morning the two boys were taken to Rockville and questioned by Prosecuting Attorney Earl M. Dowd. They were released on bonds of 700 to await arraignment in circuit court, with possible federal charges. the girls involved were too young to understand the implications.
George Hamilton and Mrs Carrie Hann wed in Rockville with only close relatives present. Mrs Hamilton, daughter of C C Farner, active in the Christian Church Sabbath School, is a popular local teacher. Mr Hamilton recently returned from France as a soldier. The Enterprise joins in congratulations.
Clinton Junior High School will host Montezuma Junior High School next Friday night on the local floor. Seats for ladies will be provided. The junior team is ready to give a strong performance with admission set at 15 cents for a single game.
Several witnesses report spotting the Bird of Paradise at Terre Haute on Friday and again on Saturday, describing the appearance and location of the bird in town.

Rev C W Fisk to preach at M EB Church Sunday 7 30 P M and serves as regular minister there and at Hillsdale.
The Christian Church announces regular services on the second Sunday of each month at 11:00 A M and 7 30 P M. Members and visitors are welcome to attend.
The parish announces Mass will be held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. This change affects local worshippers and parish activities, with regular services continuing on other Sundays as previously scheduled.
