Gossip, Quips, and a Village Quilt in Pattletown
In Montezuma Indiana a village crowd gathers to quilt the famed crazy quilt presented to Parson Earnestness while neighbors trade gossip about a new music teacher a local doctor and a smith. Tildy Rattlebrain leads chatter as old quarrels and town lore spill over into the day. The piece ends noting a forthcoming wedding and reconciliations amid the chatter.
