Lessons in Optometry Lesson Six
A child’s astigmatism is generally congenital and cannot be outgrown. Uncorrected astigmatism harms a child depending on factors like reading hours and study load, causing nervousness and learning difficulties. Parents should have children examined by an optometrist on school entry, as mandatory eye checkups may begin.
