The Bed School carnival featured The Spider Lady illusion by Mr. Watson, a bold steak cookout, crowding coxing, a Boys Glee Club minstrel show, and a seniors Musical Interpretation. An Independent vs Marshall Bob Cats basketball game preceded the auditorium dance. Patrons thanked organizers and pledged support for next year.
Rev Davidson and family spent the weekend at Waveland. Mrs Parke Mathas and sons visited Arthur Mitchell and wife. C W Manwaring and wife were Friday guests of Thomas Woody in Kingman. Harold Smith left for Terrell to work. Ladies of the community cleaned the church on Friday. Jake Mitchell and Oscar Thomas hosted Sunday dinner with Joe Hepson family. Elmer Cox and family visited Nate Mathas. David Marshall and wife spent Friday evening with Clarence Marshall family.
Mrs Bertha Swaim returns from Indianapolis where she spent ten days at a millinery opening. She plans to open a shop here very soon.
