L. J. Murdock and Hershel Phillips had a near fatal accident Monday afternoon about 4 30 o clock. They escaped injury by a miraculous margin as friends note they might have been instantly killed.
Mrs John Cole marked her 71st birthday on a Sunday with a planned surprise by her husband and relatives. A crowd of relatives and friends arrived bearing baskets and treats, as she was led to believe she faced a ordinary day.
