Death of Wanetah Duree in Montezuma Indiana
Wanetah Duree born December 2 1897 in Montezuma Indiana died August 23 1922 aged 24 years 8 months 21 days after illness and an operation. She lived mostly near Montezuma with her mother in Indianapolis for several years and faced her final days with faith and prayer. She enjoyed reading scriptures and singing with loved ones even as she faced death.

Horse Dept Changes At Fair With New Speed Ring
The Fair Committee added a speed ring with trotters and pacers each offering a five dollar first prize. A suckling colts class was created with five and three dollar premiums. Draft horses now allow all ages to show from one to three years.

Two Auto Accidents On South Main Street
Two automobile accidents occurred on South Main Street last Sunday evening. Emma Tucker of Clinton, granddaughter of Mrs. Martha Doggett, was struck by an Illinois car while crossing in front of the pool, with wheels passing over her body but no bones broken. Dr. J. C. Reeder attended her. condition later unknown. During the same evening, Robert Burns, riding a motorcycle, collided with the car as it returned from a side street, receiving bruises and shock but reportedly improving by press time.

Mathas Reunion Held in Peter Mathas Grove
The annual Mathas reunion took place Sunday August 27 in the Peter Mathas grove with about one hundred relatives in attendance. Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Lewis Linebay.
