Soldiers Honored in Homecoming Program at Township

A community gathering celebrated returning soldiers with thanks and memories of those who fell in action. Gordon Jackson lies near the Argonne, while James Williamson and Forrest Hobson died in active service. Social a Success Ice Cream Social Draws Crowd

The Ice Cream Social on the Machin lawn Saturday night by the Aid Society of the M BE Church drew a sizeable crowd. Music by a school girls chorus and a home talent colored orchestra entertained attendees. Ice cream and cake were served and funds raised.
