Montezuma Faces Paved Road Push From State Plan
The State Highway Commission will build one thousand miles of paved roads in three years with two north south routes and four east west routes. One 30 mile Lyford to Veederskburg road may pass Montezuma next year, and the Ocean to Ocean Highway could be routed through town if local effort increases. The total cost flagged at twenty eight million dollars and citizens are urged to push for their share of benefits.
