Death of Mrs. Abram Crow in West Washington Street home
Mrs. Abram Crow died at 11 PM Tuesday at 1117 West Washington street after years of rheumatism and nervous prostration. About 85, she came from Indians in 1863 with husband Robert Crow, lived on the Robert Crow farm west of the city for 30 years, then in the city. Survived by three children Thomas Crow Robert Crow and Nias Lacy Crow.

Mrs. J. S. Confer, died at Augustana hospital Chicago and funeral was held in Mason City Iowa. Born April 24 1855 Filmore Minnesota she married Dec 15 1881 Monticello Wisconsin. They later moved to Portland township then to Mason City jail residence. Survived by daughter Isa 16 and husband who mourns both his wife and his brother Dr F M Confer who died the same day in Monroe Wisconsin.

German-American educator Prof Rosenstengel dies at Wisconsin
Prof William H Rosenstengel, a leading German-American educator, died of apoplexy during a UW faculty meeting. Born in 1842 at Barmen Germany, he came to the United States at 23 and taught in St Louis before joining the University of Wisconsin as German professor. He authored multiple textbooks and belonged to German-American societies nationwide. He leaves a widow and four children, with a married daughter in Berlin.

Last Sad Rites Held for Mrs Dodge at Dodge Home
Funeral for Mrs. Chas. S. Dodge was held Wednesday at the Dodge residence with Rev. Beidler and Rev. Case officiating and Eastern Star rites led by members from Shallaborg Mineral Point Brodhead and Argyle. A quartet sang and prayers were offered. the service included scripture reading and eulogy. The burial followed with hymns at the grave and a large, sorrowful gathering viewed the casket amid seasonal flowers.
