Milwaukee carnival organizers announce a humorous last day with no rough sport and a Costume Ball in the evening. Visible plans hinge on club and social group participation, aiming for a "beautiful finish" after a hectic week of quick-notice preparations and improv costumes.
Veterans of Co H and the Woman's Relief Corps attended a Memorial Sunday service at Turner bell with a procession to G A R hall. Rev J Bursing delivered a long sermon on divine guidance in American history from Jeremiah 40, praising Washington Lincoln and the nation’s resilience.
Robt A Etter and Ed Carroll of the Fourth of July committee will travel to Chicago to book entertainment for the celebration. They will visit amusement bureaus to secure top attractions and build a strong program.
