Monroe attorney Jerry Kirby said the appeal of a $6 million damage suit over the Monroe LP and L Power & Light franchise will likely be heard in December. Judge Farr had dismissed the suit against Fred E. Young, who argued no action lay against him, and Young later dropped his suit amid harassment claims. Kirby said briefs are due by Oct. 24 for him and by Nov. 14 for Young’s attorney, after which a trial date will be set.
