Salem Sept 24 Sheriff Vort voiced concern for the condition of Mrs Elsie Sweeten a confessed poisoner in a romance with Rev Lawrence M Highty She refused all sustenance this morning taking only a small amount of milk since Tuesday. Jail attendants report she is weak and seated on her cot in apparent stupor. Church officials in Carbondale noted no conference action this afternoon and a full report was expected tomorrow morning.
