Bookmobile Schedule Set for Woodlawn Area Routes

Ouachita Parish Public Library announces Bookmobile No. II will serve Woodlawn on alternate Fridays starting Sept. 20. The route departs 1800 Stubbs Ave at 8 30 am and stops at Lenwis School Tippen Grocery Pinecrest School before lunch, with hours and dates listed for the school year.

Mangum Named Assistant Superintendent by Ouachita Board

The Ouachita Parish School Board named P. B. Mangum, West Monroe High principal, as assistant superintendent. He succeeds Milton C. Hall, recently named superintendent. The board also rescinded the 1960 hiring ban on women as bus drivers and hired several new teachers while continuing legal action against the State Department of Highways.
