Suit brought by J S Sutton will be tried September 24. Ransdell will attempt an injunction in the probe commission matter.
A Rayville Louisiana court recused Judge J R Mintosh from a Sutton injunction case citing a family tie to a party connected with the Tensas land deal. Transfer of the case to Judge F X Barsdell was ordered to preserve impartiality, with further action anticipated on rule nisi and preliminary injunctions.
Citizens formed a permanent committee to manage Hasley cemetery. Mayor N G Tippit was named ex officio chair, Mrs E Faulk secretary treasurer.
