Saline Man Dies After Car Hits Freight Train
Webbie J. Driggers, 70, of Saline died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in a Shreveport hospital after his car struck a L&A freight train on state Hwy. 9 in the Chestnut Community at about 4 a.m. Poor visibility and no skid marks were cited. Funeral at Magnolia Baptist Church followed by burial in Old Saline Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, daughter, three brothers and a sister.
