Rev Langston Rites Slated For Wednesday

Funeral services for the Rev Arthur DeKalb Langston Sr retired Baptist minister will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home chapel with Dr James T Horton of First Baptist Monroe officiating. Langston of West Monroe died Sunday after a brief illness. Interment will be at Hasley cemetery West Monroe with Mason ic rites. He served churches across northeast Louisiana and Arkansas and founded Chapel Hill Church. He and Mrs Langston observed their fiftieth anniversary. Survived by Blanche Parker Langston widow and six children, two brothers, one sister, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mrs Mary Muse Rites Tuesday

Mrs. Mary Etta Muse aged 85 of 104 Ludwig Street West Monroe died Sunday at a son’s home in Alexandria after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p m in Peters Funeral Home Monroe with Rev James T Hor Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
