A. F E. Montgomery Jr. 601 Loop Road Monroe announced his candidacy for reelection to the Ouachita Parish Police Jury from Ward 10. Montgomery, 38, is seeking his second term as one of the parish judges.
A lifelong Ward 10 resident, Tu lane University School of Law graduate, Korean War veteran and former U S Marine officer, married to Clara Munholland with three children. He works in insurance for the past decade and attends the First Methodist Church of Monroe.
The Labor Day weekend death toll fell short of predictions with 425 auto deaths reported early today. The National Safety Council feared a late surge as motorists headed home, urging early departures to avoid jams and further fatalities.
