Two men from Columbia South Carolina were held in New Orleans on kidnapping charges after a 19 year old Ruth Williams gave her name and said she met Perry in Columbia. The trio traveled from Columbia to New Orleans where the girl, claiming illness, was registered as Mrs. Joseph Roberts at a hospital.

Carpenter Dies From Wreck Injuries Near Shreveport
C. C. Boley, 55, a carpenter of Bossier City, died at a Shreveport sanitarium from injuries from an automobile crash on the Coushatta road ten miles south of Shreveport. Fellow car passenger L. A. Smith was in critical condition. both suffered fractured skulls after their car struck a parked truck, overturned, and trapped them.
