New Orleans Oct 29 Steam er Crown Prince from Santos for New Orleans with a cargo of coffee valued at more than one million dollars was wrecked off the western coast of Cuba October 16. The cargo and ship were a total loss. The crew and four passengers were rescued and brought to Havana. Captain Johnston reported the Crown Prince driven ashore at Halande's Point, Cuba, October 16, broken amidships, foreholds full of water, after end broken up, crew saved and arrived at Havana. The vessel had 34 in its crew.
