Temperatures reach the lower 60s today, fall to near 40 tonight, and peak near 60 Thursday with easterly winds 10 to 15 mph.

Mrs. Mignon Lindsey Emerson 64 of 1607 Fairview Monroe died at St Francis Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Kilpatrick's Monroe chapel with Dr. W. D. Boddie and Dr. Charles Holland officiating. Burial in Monroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Survived by husband Dr. A. J. Emerson, a daughter Mrs. Carol McDonald, three granddaughters Ainslee Molly and Dee McDonald. Pallbearers listed as six local doctors.
