Johnston leads Senate bid with over $201K in support

Former state Sen. J Bennett Johnston raised 201,285.58 through Oct. 16, more than twice the totals of his main rivals. Former Gov. John id McKeithen reported 102,962 in receipts and Republican Ben C Toledano 82,681.66 after entering the race in August. Johnston started his campaign in mid May.

First Woman Navy Officer Gets Sea Duty

First Women FBI Agents Graduate

The first two women FBI agents, Susan Lynn Roley and JoAnn Pierce, graduate from a 14 week training course joining 45 men.
