Earl Browder the Communist party leader in the United States was released from the federal house of detention after a 7500 bond was posted by Mrs Hester Huntington a social register philanthropist who aided Browder she received a subpoena to testify before the federal grand jury investigating a fake passport ring Browder was indicted for fraudulently obtaining and using a passport for travel abroad.
