Frederick G Speed Buried by Masons
Frederick Gordon Speed former grand secretary of the Mississippi Grand Lodge died Sunday at about 100 years old. He was buried with Grand Lodge honors in a ceremony led by officers and attended by over two hundred Masons from the city and state. The service included a large floral tribute and final rites at the cemetery. Speed was a prominent Mason and property owner, with a noted library, and his son Frederick Gordon Speed succeeded him as grand secretary.
