Nixon To Reveal High Court Choices Tonight

UPI report notes Nixon plans to announce his high court selections tonight. War casualty figures show five U.S. deaths in Indochina last week, the lowest in over six years, with 84 wounded and 15 nonhostile deaths. South Vietnamese losses rose to 391 KIA, while Allied commands claim 1,198 Viet Cong and North Vietnamese killed last week.

Four Shots Fired At Soviet Mission In New York

Police traced four shots to Hunter College firing toward the Soviet Union’s United Nations mission on East 67th Street. A high powered semiautomatic rifle was found on the Hunter College roof with four spent shells and a cello case. No injuries were reported and the motive remains unclear.

West Monroe Fire Rating Faces Reclassification

West Monroe is to be inspected and reclassified by the Louisiana Fire Insurance Rating and Fire Prevention Bureau. If rated Class 8 rates would rise about 50 percent. Class 10 could lift rates by roughly 90 percent. Fire Chief Wilbur Horn and Mayor Bert Hatten released the advisory noting a 10 year effect and prior delays due to hoped improvements.

Airman Charged With Violating Security Rules
