David L. Agnew, 1961 Kiwanis International Education and Fellowship chairman, will preside over the annual fall council meeting in Chicago October 30 to November 3. The event aims to share ideas for Kiwanis work with newly elected district officers and will feature several speakers. Juanita Fant of Monroe was elected president of the Senior Board at Northeast Louisiana State College, with Dianne Carter Mears as vice president, Thelma Pettigrew as secretary, and Kathy Talton as treasurer.
Ferriday special notes the Cosmopolitan Club of St Josephs meets Thursday afternoon October 20 at the Community House. Guest speaker William Burris a Louisiana Power and Light salesman, assisted by Luce Thompson, power company home economist, Ferriday.
