Two bandits robbed the McGee Bank and netted 23650 in cash. The crime disrupted the area as investigators combed the scene for clues and witnesses described the getaway route. A second note reports Nebraska pupils narrowly escaping a dynamiting at a Verdi gree country school with two children and a teacher injured but surviving.
The Democratic National Committee reported up to October 15 receipts of 2 753 192 04 and expenditures of 2 555 353 18. From September 1 to October 15 it received 1 539 441 70 including a 500 000 loan from Country Trust Company of New York, leaving a balance of 197 838 86 on October 15.
Police Superintendent Apgar urged motorists and the public to exercise caution to cut the rising number of traffic accidents. He warned children to cross only at intersections and drivers to be extra vigilant in congested areas and ready to brake at a moment’s notice.

G. C. Gaskin of six miles west of West Monroe shows how a single worker can achieve notable financial gains in a short period. From a job at Brown Paper mill about three years ago he has built his own path, with waste to paper mill conversion cited as a turning point.
C W Zeb Scruggs was returned to face charges of automobile theft. He admitted stealing cars around Monroe and Mount Pleasant since 1926 after jumping bond. Authorities recovered a car in Mount Pleasant and traced other vehicles, with confessions pointing to multiple thefts across Texas and Louisiana.
Rising temperatures and rain offered hope for relief from a mid winter storm that stranded seven on Pike's Peak and endanger many deer hunters across Colorado. Zeb Scruggs admitted a pattern of auto theft from Monroe to Mount Pleasant Texas. He received six years in the penitentiary and 90 days in jail on three charges including breaking and entering theft of a phonograph and clothing from Tom Grigsby near the Brown Paper mill and a Ford truck theft.
Three Lawrence county residents were injured when a tornado hit near Bedford Ind late yesterday causing about 150000 dollars in damage according to residents. Communication disruptions delayed report until today.
Agnes Ledoux the 20 year old daughter of Ernest Ledoux died after a violent convulsion. Coroner W L Fisher opened an investigation and held an inquest but left the case open awaiting further information. The girl had alleged a young man who had been calling on her poisoned her with candy.
William Edward Hickman, sentenced to hang for the Marian Parker kidnapping and murder, will be moved tonight from condemned row to the execution room as prison routine. Governor Young denied appeals, stating the warden's decision is Hickman's last chance.
Two flood lights formerly serving the natatorium have been borrowed to illuminate Selman field airport. They will be returned when the ordered lights arrive. A large beacon already marks the field from the air, visible for up to ten miles.
Two unmasked bandits wearing brown goggles locked six Citizens Bank employees in the vault at McGehee Arkansas just before 9 am and escaped with 23650 in cash. Victims describe the suspects as 25 to 27 years old slender men in medium brown suits.
