West Monroe Lumber Plant Ravaged by Destructive Fire

Young Woman Fatally Hurt in Truck Incident Near West Monroe
Mrs. Mary Lee Davis from near West Monroe died from a broken neck after a heavy International truck driven by her husband Robert Davis ran over her Sunday morning. Funeral services were held at Walnut Grove church at noon. The coroner reported a complete fracture of the third cervical vertebra with throat cartilage separation and minor neck abrasions, noting no visible sign the truck passed over the body. The fatality occurred about 7:30 am on the Eros road two miles from town.
