First Air Mail Planes Fly Over Monroe And Beyond
First air mail planes passed Monroe at 12 30 p m and 2 30 p m both westbound and eastbound with no local stops as depots lie at Jackson Mississippi and Shreveport Louisiana. Over 200 letters were sent from Monroe to Shreveport to ride the new line and reach New York within 24 hours.
