London September 10. The Associated Press notes the question of future use for Britain s army officers as a large pool remains on full or half pay. Eight full generals, 27 lieutenant generals, 1222 major generals, and 488 brigadier generals currently on full pay. eight generals, 26 lieutenant generals, and 49 major generals on half pay. Many await government plans for a reduced army amid disintegration of the old structure. Many officers are comparatively young.
