A whole virus bivalent swine flu vaccine has been sent to Northeast Louisiana parish health units for the 18 24 high risk group. The vaccine protects both A New Jersey swine flu and A Victoria strains and will be available on scheduled inoculation days across several parishes. Mass immunization for 18 64 year olds will start later this month with clinic dates to be announced.
