Bus Hits Car in Dense Fog Near Alexandria
In fog on Louisiana 28 west of Alexandria a school bus carrying 40 pupils rammed a slowly moving car. Bus driver Jimmy Thiels said he slowed to about 30 mph and moved students away before flames spread. Herman Maxie of Leesville faces a simple obstruction charge for blocking the highway while stopping to clear his windshield. The bus was en route to St Rita's School when the crash occurred.
