Wife's Effort At Rescue Is Failure
A 54-year-old Tallulah farmer, P. B. Thigpen Jr., drowned when his auto plunged into Big Creek near Delhi. His wife, who swam to safety after attempting to rescue him, reported that she crawled out a rear window and tried to open the door as the car submerged.
