Child Struck By Auto In West Monroe Injuries Fractured Legs
Thelma Verdell McGowen a 10 year old pupil of West Monroe schools was struck at Cypress Street and Drew Avenue. She suffered fractures above the knees and shock and was taken by ambulance to the Clinic. Max Rosbury driver of the auto claimed the child darted into the street as J E Jarrell’s car moved north. Police investigated noting Jarrell’s car turned toward Drew Avenue before the collision.
