Coroner's Jury Rules Diabetes Cause Of Death

A coroner's jury in Gulfport Mississippi ruled that 44 year old Harrison County Jail inmate Anthony C Labue of New Orleans died of diabetic acidosis at a Gulfport hospital. Sheriff Howard N Hobbs said Labue died Monday after hospital treatment for the condition. Labue had been jailed after an arrest in Springfield Illinois on November 1 for attempted burglary of Circuit Judge Floyd J Logan's Pass Christian home. He had been released on bond pending grand jury action from an earlier arrest. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
